The ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents 2025 is now open for applications from international students worldwide. This prestigious scholarship allows students to pursue Master’s or Doctoral degrees in China at two of the country’s top universities: the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). Each year, ANSO awards 200 fully funded Master’s scholarships and 300 fully funded PhD scholarships.

The ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents is a comprehensive scholarship that includes:
- Full Tuition Fee Waiver
- Application Fee Waiver
- Monthly Stipend:
- Master’s Degree: 3,000 RMB/month
- PhD Degree: 6,000 or 7,000 RMB/month (based on qualification test results)
- Health Insurance
- Travel Subsidy: Covers one trip from the applicant’s home country to China (not available for applicants already in China at the time of application).
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the ANSO Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a non-Chinese citizen.
- Master’s degree applicants must be born on or after January 1, 1995.
- PhD degree applicants must be born on or after January 1, 1990.
- Must meet the eligibility criteria of USTC or UCAS.
- Cannot hold other assignments during the scholarship period.
- Proficiency in English or Chinese is required.
Required Documents:
Applicants need to submit the following documents:
- A valid passport with at least two years of validity.
- Updated CV highlighting research experience.
- Original degree certificates:
- For Master’s applicants: Bachelor’s degree certificate or official pre-graduation certificate.
- For PhD applicants: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree certificates or official pre-graduation certificates.
- Two reference letters.
- A research proposal.
- Photocopies of up to five published academic papers (if available).
- Proof of English and/or Chinese language proficiency.
